Proverbs 22:4 By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life.
Proverbs 23:15-19 My son, if your heart is wise, my heart will rejoice–indeed, I myself; yes, my inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak right things. Do not let your heart envy sinners, but be zealous for the fear of the Lord all the day; for surely there is a hereafter, and your hope will not be cut off. Hear, my son, and be wise; and guide your heart in the way.
Proverbs 29:22-27 An angry man stirs up strife, and a furious man abounds in transgression. A man’s pride will bring him low, but the humble in spirit will retain honor. Whoever is a partner with a thief hates his own life; he swears to tell the truth, but reveals nothing. The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe. Many seek the ruler’s favor, but justice for man comes from the Lord. An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, and he who is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.
Isaiah 8:13 The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow; let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread.
