Growing In Grace Part 11

Ephesians 4:4-7  There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.

Colossians 3:12-17  Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Grace is a spiritual attribute that comes into us from GOD By The HOLY SPIRIT. It is not a natural quality, it is a Supernatural one, because it comes from GOD Himself. If we remember that we Were Created By GOD to be like Him, we realize that since He Is Spirit (John 4:24), some of our virtues will be spiritual ones. Our Godly (Spiritual) attributes are: Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, righteousness, and truth. (Galatians 5:22-23b; Ephesians 5:9) Therefore, growing in Grace necessitates our drawing closer to GOD, and allowing ourselves to let His Attributes become part of us. Becoming One Spirit With GOD is the True Meaning of Life. Like we want to permanently bond with our natural children, GOD Wants To Permanently Bond With His Spiritual Children.

Think about how Wonderful that is…   😀
