Wisdom (Part 52)

2 Timothy 3:1-8,12-17  You must understand this, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at GOD, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than GOD. They will act religious, but they will reject The Power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! They have corrupt minds and counterfeit faith, and are always being instructed, but can never arrive at a knowledge of The Truth. Understand that all who want to live a Godly life in Christ JESUS will be persecuted. But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived. But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You have been taught The Holy Scriptures, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ JESUS. All scripture is inspired by GOD and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to GOD may be proficient, and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

James 1:2-12  My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your Faith produces patience. For when your Faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous GOD, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask Him, be sure that your Faith is in GOD alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from The Lord. Their loyalty is divided between GOD and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.
Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for GOD has honored them. And those who are rich should boast that GOD has humbled them. They will fade away like a little flower in the field. The hot sun rises and the grass withers; the little flower droops and falls, and its beauty fades away. In the same way, the rich will fade away with all of their achievements. GOD blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive The Crown of Life that GOD has promised to those who Love Him.
