Jeremiah 4:22 “… My people are foolish, they have not known Me. They are silly children, and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.”
Jeremiah 8:7-9 “Even the stork in the heavens knows her appointed times; and the turtledove, the swift, and the swallow observe the time of their coming. But My people do not know the judgment of The Lord. How can you say, ‘We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us’, when your teachers have twisted it by writing lies? These wise teachers will fall into the trap of their own foolishness, for they have rejected the word of The Lord. Are they so wise after all?”
Jeremiah 9:12-15,23-24 “Who is the wise man who may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of The Lord has spoken, that he may declare it? Why does the land perish and burn up like a wilderness, so that no one can pass through?” And The Lord said, “Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice, nor walked according to it, but they have walked according to the dictates of their own hearts and after the Baals, which their fathers taught them”, therefore thus says The Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Behold, I will feed them, this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.” Thus says The Lord: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches; but let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, that I Am The Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says The Lord.
Jeremiah 10:6-7,10-13 Inasmuch as there is none like You, O Lord (You are great, and Your Name is great in might), who would not fear You, O King of the nations? For this is Your rightful due. For among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like You. The Lord Is The True God; He Is The Living God and The Everlasting King. At His wrath the earth will tremble, and the nations will not be able to endure His indignation. Thus you shall say to them: “The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth shall perish from the earth and from under these heavens.” He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens at His discretion. When He utters His voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens: “And He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain, He brings the wind out of His treasuries.”
